Join Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group (ITV), Livermore Lab Foundation (LLF), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), Startup Tri-Valley (STV), and Chabot Las Positas Community College District (CLPCCD) as they partner for a special public event, "Decarbonizing Our Economy: Technology & Workforce Solutions for a Sustainable Future". This symposium is intended to inform, promote, and connect the leaders involved in climate change, carbon dioxide removal (CDR), climate technology, innovation investments and clean-tech workforce development. Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group (ITV) is a business leadership association working to improve the business climate and quality of life in the Tri-Valley region, and foster an interconnected hub of innovation that spurs job growth, and sustains a healthy economy and a vibrant community. ITV is dedicated to delivering both economic and social impact through business innovation, education innovation, public-private innovation, and brand building innovation
All are invited to attend this symposium on November 8th from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Mertes Theatre, Las Positas College, 3000 Campus Hill Drive in Livermore. Yolanda Fintschenko, Executive Director of i-GATE, Startup Tri-Valley, and Daybreak Labs, will moderate an industry panel featuring Matin Hanifzadeh, PhD, CEO and Founder of Rushnu, a carbon transformation company incubating in Daybreak Labs in Livermore. The forum will spotlight cutting-edge carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies, regional policies, and workforce and industry strategies to enable the greater Tri-Valley region to meet climate sustainability goals and support a thriving green and carbon neutral economy. Scientists from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory will highlight the Roads to Removal report, a national analysis as to how the United States can remove carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. This is a great opportunity to engage with and learn from other businesses involved in developing climate tech to green our economy, as well as learn about a new clean tech/workforce development survey and climate entrepreneurs program from the Livermore Lab Foundation.
