Opportunities for teams, businesses, and individuals abound when the Chevys Fresh Mex Run takes place May 31 in Hacienda. Proceeds from the 5K/10K run/walk will benefit Amador Valley High School and Dublin High School.
In addition to the run, the event will feature entertainment along the course, a host of booths, and a post-event food spread prepared by Chevys Mexican Restaurant. A mariachi band will be on hand as well.
Teams of runners from area companies are eligible to compete in the Chevys Cup Corporate Team Competition. Points are awarded to participants who complete the 5K run/walk, with bonuses being given to the top ten finishers in several different categories. The company with the most points will be awarded the Chevys Cup.
The event also offers opportunities for sponsors and exhibitors.
"This is the perfect opportunity for companies to introduce their products to over 2,000 sports oriented, health conscious runners, walkers, and spectators," says Sophia Steinaecker, sponsorship coordinator.
Sponsors can receive benefits including their logo on event t-shirts, a complimentary booth at the event, promotional inserts in athletes' race bags, announcements throughout the event, banners on the start and finish fencing, and their logo in the results booklet.
The event will be promoted extensively through direct mail, television and radio ads, and more.
